When I am lying in your arms and everything is quiet it feels like midnight blue. Midnight Blue is the feeling when it’s late at night, just the other side of the witching hour, and the sky is that not-quite-black-blue. It is clear, except for wisps of clouds trailing through the infinite stars. You lie back and attempt to take it all in. You feel the vastness of the cosmos. How cold it is, but at once comforting, it envelops you and everything you could ever conceive. You look at those stars and think about the concept of time and space, and your place in the midst of it all. For a moment or two, everything makes sense, you are above the petty shortsightedness of humanity, but still part of that sempiternal force. It feels like falling in love with the universe.
